Lookout Coffee

I’m always on the hunt for a place that offers quality coffee, delicious pastries, legit WiFi, and a welcoming vibe. Lookout Coffee has been my favorite spot for a minute now, let me tell you why!

  • Thoughtful mission statement! Did you know that the rapid consumption of coffee has created huge environmental and socioeconomic impacts in today’s world? Things like deforestation and labor exploitation have prompted the necessity for fair trade practices in order to preserve natural resources, prevent slave labor, and create a sustainable ecosystem for future generations. Lookout coffee exclusively uses Passenger coffee beans, an altruistic company that prioritizes the way they source their coffee beans. They have created a very intentional supply chain that pursues ethical sourcing, carefully selects their producers, and promotes environmental awareness. A company that doesn’t skimp on quality and integrity always has my vote.

  • Amazing coffee has unique, seasonal flavors to spruce up its already high-quality coffee. Lately, I’ve been into:

    • Coconut Honey Cappuccino — the perfect bit of sweetness to balance out my strong espresso

    • Matcha Latte — their matcha is from Uji, Japan, and brewed to perfection

  • BOMB pastries — their croissants are literally the size of my head! They have an impressive variety of both pastries and sweets that separates them from a typical coffeehouse. They bring in these treasures from a variety of local businesses which I am a huge fan of. Just a few of their delicious offerings which rotate regularly:

    • Empanadas

    • Sausage Rolls

    • Biscoff Rocky Road

  • Amazing staff — everyone here is more than willing to make your perfect cup of coffee or tea. I’ve customized my drinks pretty much every time (sorry not sorry) and they are always so damn kind about it. You’re never rushed to make a decision no matter how busy this place gets

  • Welcoming ambiance — rather than squeezing a bunch of tables and chairs, they’ve carefully spaced out a selection of comfortable work and lounge furniture. Whether you’re swinging by to work or have a conversation, you’ll feel right at home. I also love that they don’t blare music here. You can hear yourself think and have conversations without raising your voice. Their WiFi is solid too - I haven’t had a single lost connection when taking my work video calls from here.

So whether you are looking to read a book, get work done, or meet up with a friend - I promise you that Lookout Coffee is worth checking out!
